The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown is pleased to announce that a group of young men will be attending seminary this fall. Thanks be to God, we now have four seminarians, as well as dozens of teens and young men who are seriously considering the priesthood.
Liam Clyma of Saint Mark Parish, Altoona, Jonathan Eger of Saint Andrew Parish, Johnstown, Andrew Foster of Saint Mary Parish, Hollidaysburg, and Owen McCarville of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish, Altoona, will be attending seminary this fall as seminarians for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Clyma and McCarville will be attending the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, and Eger and Foster will be attending Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
With the joy of four seminarians comes the need to financially support their seminary studies. On behalf of Bishop Mark, Father Peter Crowe, Diocesan Director of Vocations, and Father Brian Norris, Diocesan Vocations Recruiter, invite the faithful to consider supporting the Fishers of Men Vocations Appeal, which directly supports vocations expenses in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. To support our seminarians and our vocations initiatives, local Catholics are invited to consider making a gift that will directly fund the efforts of our Vocations Team to inspire the next generation of priests for our diocese.
