The Retreat Center

Our Facility

The restored Retreat Center has 27 bedrooms and 8 private bathrooms. The first floor, along with one special bedroom and bath, is accessible to the physically challenged.

A dining room, with handmade oak tables and chairs, comfortably seats 48 people. The food is prepared by women of the parish and will surpass your expectations. It is a delightful surprise. The recipes are simple and come from our local kitchens so the emphasis is on the homemade. Special diets can be accommodated if known in advance.

There are four conference rooms to accommodate various sized retreats. There is also a small, private chapel.

Standard Rooms

Our twin bed rooms can be occupied by either one or up to two persons. Our twin rooms simple but comfortable and look out on the mountain behind the retreat center

Themed Rooms

Our retreat center has been a house of prayer since 1890.  All of our rooms reflect the simplicity of the Carmalite Spirituality.  A few of our rooms are themed with decor that reflects the contemplative spirit of St. Therese of the Child Jesus or St. Francis who praised God the creator and Master Artist as Nature reflects the presence of God.

Simplicity

Since 1890 our retreat center continues to hold onto it’s original charm.  The warmth of Chestnut wood lines the hallway with original doors and schoolhouse lights.  Tiffany style windows in the Church imported from Germany a century ago lead the soul to prayer

“I am the light of the world.
He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 8:12
